Multiple fire crews have been trying to extinguish a fire at a farm in St Albans which broke out last night.

Firefighters were called at about 12.05am today to a farm in Sandridgebury Lane, where 900 tonnes of hay are on fire.

Crews from St Albans and Harpenden attended shortly after midnight, with firefighters from Garston, Welwyn Garden City and Borehamwood taking over at 4.30am.

The fire is still ongoing, and three different areas of the farm are alight.

It is not yet known if the fire was set deliberately.
