Around 1,000 Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers joined with leaders at the St George's Day parade on Monday, April 29 to create a human fleur-de-lis in Verulamium Park.
The group paraded through the city centre, and once in Verulamium Park celebrated scouting in a ceremony led by 17 young people who will represent St Albans at the World Scout Jamboree in July.

The participants put on blue ponchos to mark out the fleur-de-lis, and are now waiting to find out if they will be placed in the Guiness Book of World Records.
St Albans Scouts' district commissioner Annette Payne said: "This annual parade and celebration of scouting gives us a chance to publicly thank everyone who helps to make scouting possible, as well as celebrating the achievements of our members."
