Looking for things to do with your kids these school holidays? We’ve teamed up with The Co-operative Food to offer your son or daughter the chance to attend The Andrew Flintoff Cricket Academy at ST Georges VA, Herts from 25th-29th July.

Four winners will get the chance to attend the Andrew Flintoff Cricket Academy, which develops children’s cricketing skills whilst having fun at the same time.

In 2009 ‘Freddie’ led England to another fantastic Ashes win and his status as one of the biggest players in the game was confirmed. Freddie has recently retired from all forms of cricket and has established himself as one of the modern greats of the game.

Andrew Flintoff said: “It would be great to produce the next star but it is just as important to inspire someone, who has never played the game before, to take up the sport and get kids active and healthy.”

There is also a healthy eating programme included as part of the Academy, with healthy kids’ Co-operative Food inspired recipe cards for busy parents to take away.

So if your son or daughter is a keen cricket fan and aged between 5-16, this is the perfect prize for them – a unique cricketing experience at the Andrew Flintoff Cricket Academy!

Each winner will also receive a free ‘academy’ cricket shirt. There is also a final awards ceremony with prizes, certificates and giveaways.

Up for grabs are four tickets at ST Georges VA, Herts from 25th-29th July.

All you have to do to stand a chance of winning, courtesy of The Co-operative Food is answer the following simple question:

From which wood is a cricket bat traditionally made?

a) Pine

b) Oak

c) Willow

The competition closes on July 18. The winners will be drawn from all the correct entries received before this date. There is no cash alternative. The winners must attend the course being held at St George’s School in Harpenden. The editor’s decision is final. No correspondence will be entered into.
