A NURSERY has held a book day at which the children dressed up as their favourite literary characters - and there was fun from the word go.
Claire Pike, manager of Redbourn House Nursery in South Common, said their 48 children came dressed as their favourite characters which included Buzz Lightyear, Cinderella, Fireman Sam and Bill and Ben the Flowerpot Men.
She said they talked about their books and had songs and games from different countries, held in their garden.
"The kids loved it" she added.
