The 1st London Colney Scouts have celebrated their 100th birthday.
The group, which started out as 7th St Albans Scout Group, marked the occasion with live music, a climbing wall, bouncy castle, bush tucker trials, fire lightning and marshmallow toasting in the park off Chicken Lane.
The event was attended by the Lord Lieutenant Robert Voss, St Albans mayor Rosemary Farmer, county commissioner Liz Walker and district commissioner Annette Payne.
Seven Beavers, three Cubs and three Scouts received Chief Scouts Awards for showing sustained effort and for acquiring a number of life skills.
Music was provided by the band Blue Hour, which includes Explorer Scout Jevon Langridge, and The 88, which includes members of the St Albans Gang Show.
The event was organised by Chick Taylor, Sarah Chester, Steph Nicholls, Sam Butcher, Catherine Hulatt, Camille Ward and Liz Ivory.
