MORE than 100 people were evacuated from an office block when a fire broke out on Monday afternoon.

Firefighters were called to Ziggurat House in Grosvenor Road, St Albans, at around 12.45pm to find smoke affecting the second floor of the12-storey building.

The crews from St Albans and Hatfield found a blaze in the ducting and they had to cut away parts of the wall to put it out

The fire, which started accidentally, was out by 2.15pm.
