SIR - Stuart Bishop would like to express his thanks and appreciation for the kindness and concern shown by the unknown passers by who were so willing to offer help, when he unfortunately and involuntarily tripped and crash landed on his face whilst walking towards the pedestrian crossing outside Sainsbury's in Harpenden High Street around 11.45am on Wednesday, September 16.
Apart from leaving behind a small piece of his nose and having acquired numerous bruises, he is glad to say that all is well and at the age of 90 that can't be bad. Thank you all again.
