SIR, - The problem of the tight turns at the new St Albans City Station car park does not only apply to 4x4s. I have a Mercedes with a long wheel base. It is only a matter of time before I misjudge the turn onto the ramps and damage my car. I can also only use one of the entrance barriers, one being extremely tight.
I am seriously considering other options when my season ticket runs out next month. It is hard to understand why the car park has been built with such tight tolerances. Perhaps there is a desire on the part of the operators to discourage large cars. Doing their bit for the environment perhaps.
