SIR, - I wish to record on behalf of 48 local senior citizens my appreciation of the loan of two minibuses from Francis Bacon School.
Last week Thirlmere Church in Cell Barnes Lane ran a holiday club for seniors. One of the activities was an evening cruise on the Lee Navigation with a meal on the boat. This was a most enjoyable occasion, made even more satisfying for the group by the fact that we did not have to pay for expensive transport to Broxbourne.
I was most impressed by the courtesy, efficiency and helpfulness of all I contacted on the staff of the school.
As far as involvement in the community is concerned, Francis Bacon School deserves its latest praise from Ofsted.
