SIR - Having just received my council tax demand I am dismayed to see that the Wheathampstead parish increase is 26.1 per cent. Last year the increase was an astonishing 51.7 per cent.
Since 2007 my parish contribution has more than doubled. I cannot see a corresponding 100 per cent improvement in local services.
