SIR, - Thank you Jane Booth for your feisty defence of fireworks (Herts Advertiser, November 20).
Regarding the lack of garden fireworks being ignited this year, this may have more to do with the change in the regulations than the credit crunch. All large fireworks and most rockets have been recently reclassified to a level which makes it impossible for most shops to store them. Without wishing to stifle the sigh of relief this news may bring to many readers, I'm pleased to let the others know that these items can still be purchased from our emporium!
