SIR, - Shortly before the local elections you published on your front page a picture of the area where the ice rink was located at Christmas, submitted I understand by the Conservative party.
The photo was misleading because the lack of leaves on the trees showed that it was probably taken several weeks before it was published. Your readers might be interested to see the actual condition of the field a month later. The grass is already growing strongly following the reseeding of the area.
