SIR, - I have been following Mrs Mair's story (Herts Advertiser, May 7) and my advice to her is to concentrate on what is best for her own child, rather than worrying about the decisions other families make.
I felt it was important to let your readers know that the Continuing Interest List is based on your nearest school and that is why Mrs Mair may be so far down on the list for Sandringham, as it is not her nearest school. Mrs Mair, I am sure would have more success in securing a school place by using the Continuing Interest List for her nearest school, Beaumont. At the end of the day, you have to make the best of the choices you have.
