The commercial property market in the St Albans area is booming, with a local agent saying more stock is needed to meet demand.
Matthew Bowen of Aitchison Raffety in St Albans said: “Whilst the first two weeks of January were typically quiet, the market has picked up with a considerable number of new enquiries.
“Last week was very busy and the signs are that 2017 will continue much in the same vein as 2016. Enquiry numbers have picked up as stock levels have increased slightly but there is still almost zero availability for some sizes and types of properties. We simply need more properties to dispose of to meet demand.”
Following a busy period over Christmas, Aitchison Raffety have reported deals of over 20,000 sq ft of offices alone - a sign that the economy in Herts remains strong, Matthew says.
