New affordable homes are to be built in St Albans for local people in housing need.
The homes will be built by Aldwyck Homes at Linley Court in Valley Road. The development will provide 28 apartments, seven one-bedroom and 21 two-bedroom, over four storeys. There will also be associated parking and landscaping.
Peter Salsbury, deputy director of development at Aldwyck Housing Group, said, “We are committed to building high quality homes for communities with a real need for them. We have worked closely with St Albans district council to ensure that our proposed development at Linley Court meets the requirements of the local authority whilst improving the visual impact of the local area. We are confident that our plans will provide high quality accommodation in a contemporary design which will benefit the local community.”
Work on the site is expected to begin in March 2018 and will be completed in summer 2019.
