I joined the team at Hamptons International as senior branch manager on October 5, 2015, having worked in St Albans as an estate agent for the last 28 years.

What’s special/different about your agency?

We have three local offices providing unrivalled coverage in the area: Harpenden, Wheathampstead and St Albans. We will be working closely in the future on a shared vision for a new style of local agency. This will include fully exploiting the advantage of Hamptons International’s network of 33 offices in central London and a further 54 throughout the south east, providing immediate access to this rich supply of purchasers and tenants from the key central London market and beyond.

Where do you live and with whom?

In St Albans and have done for most of my life, I was schooled here and feel very qualified to advise on the merits of our lovely City. I live with my wife Kate, we’ve been together for 26 years and have an 18 year old son and 14-year-old daughter. We also have a beloved black labrador, Evie.

Why did you buy your current property?

We really wanted the children to be able to walk to school so bought a house close to Sandringham. We’ve extended and renovated the house over the years and have enjoyed the benefits and convenience of ‘Marshalswick living’.

If you weren’t a buying agent, what would you be?

I daydream about owning a small market garden, growing and selling organic produce, I was born in Exeter but moved to Hertfordshire when I was very small. I still have Devon in my bones and love anything to do with the great outdoors.

When did you buy your first property and what was it like?

It was a gorgeous two up two down Victorian cottage in Dalton Street, open fires in the bedrooms and lovely old worn step down to the kitchen. When we haven’t got the kids to consider we’ll be back in an old house.

What’s your dream house?

An old pile in South Devon, views over the Estuary and close to a pub that sells fresh crab sandwiches and local ale. A house full of labradors and of course Kate.
