SIR, - So what is EFD Energy's excuse for power cuts in Harpenden this time?
Once again power to Willow Court Care home and surrounding areas in Harpenden failed on Monday but this time there was no snow to blame it on and it was not particularly cold.
We understand that the last prolonged failure in October was "due to the bad weather", but it seems this one was more likely to be because the previous repair was not carried out properly by our incompetent, monopoly power distributor.
We should be told and appropriate compensation made.
