SIR - I read with interest your article on the banning of goggles and snorkels at Westminster Lodge swimming pool (Herts Advertiser, October 2). I actually think they have not gone far enough.
Do you know they have a great huge pool of deep water and they allow people in there? They could drown or even worse, get wet and then sue the council which we would have to pay for. I think they should empty the water out and fill it full of comfy chairs, sofas, a bar and TVs with a nice set of safe steps down into it and a disabled lift just so that the managers can relax without having to worry or bother about the nasty council tax payers who want to jump in their nice pool.
