SIR - I am writing to you about the callous disregard Herts County Council are showing toward the families of the children still awaiting a place at a ranked school. As I write it is 7.30pm on May 16. HCC online admissions website has not been updated since April 23. With many families desperate for any information about their child's status, an out-of-date website is not acceptable.
Who do these characters at Herts County Council think they are who attend meetings, wring their hands, share our woes and offer words of comfort only to walk away afterwards and seemingly do nothing at all?
