SIR, - Mr Norman Hart makes some valid points about St Albans Central Library although I personally find most of the antisocial behaviour to be exaggerated, at least for the times I visit the library.
I have occasionally been there for the "Baby Rhyme Time", however, and as well as doubting that this really contributes to child - or even parental - literacy, would add to Mr Hart's reservations by asking what is the most inappropriate place to have a loud chanting of nursery rhymes?" Ah yes, the library! Why not have it there and distract everyone else?
