SIR, - It's a shame that Sandra Burns (Herts Advertiser, October 23) completely misread my letter.
I strongly support Grove House day hospice and deeply appreciate the efforts of others who do so.
My objection was to the level of amplification of the PA system on the Sunday of the HERTS 10K Challenge
Surely Sandra can understand it needs only to be loud enough for the runners and supporters to hear it? Instead, about 1,000 people were disturbed by noise they couldn't trace and didn't understand.
