SIR, - So we're to add to the street clutter with wonderful big black wheelie bins. Now that most of us seem to be recycling virtually everything, I wonder what will go in them.

We have a long list of things we can put into the green wheelie bin, boxes for glass, tins and plastic bottles, supermarkets that recycle our plastic bags and tetra packs. I've even found I can take "hard" plastics (flower pots, yoghurt pots, plastic veg and meat trays etc) to the recycling centre in Watford Road. So what am I to put in the black wheelie bin? Then there's the redundant cardboard collection bag to dispose of - and next it will be the soon-to-be useless dustbin. The mind boggles!

I don't want another dreaded wheelie bin cluttering up the street outside my home but is there any choice? All I really need for the few bits that no one wants to recycle is a small black bag. Do we have a choice? I don't suppose so.
