SIR, - Mr Steven Brown (Herts Advertiser, November 20) suggested that First Capital Connect had avoided recording a delay by altering a late-running train from one scheduled service to another. We cannot and do not manipulate figures - the train he was on did fail its public performance measure
Autumn has been a disappointing time for us in terms of our performance but we are determined, with Network Rail's support, to regain the record rates of punctuality we achieved in the summer.
