SIR — In reply to the letter from the Robertson family (Herts Advertiser, July 10) regarding excessive noise made by the Midnight Walkers for only a short time during that Sunday morning, surely that could be tolerated for only one night out of 365. As on
SIR - In reply to the letter from the Robertson family (Herts Advertiser, July 10) regarding excessive noise made by the Midnight Walkers for only a short time during that Sunday morning, surely that could be tolerated for only one night out of 365.
As one of the "offenders" may I defend the 800 dedicated walkers, marshals and organisers who gave up an entire night to raise funds for a very worthwhile cause which relies totally on the efforts of charitable people. Next year perhaps you would care to join us.
