SIR, - The front page advertisement from St Albans District Council (Herts Advertiser, March 6) proclaims a "below inflation council tax increase of 3.5 per cent".
My council tax demand notice dated March 12 from the same council says the district portion of council tax changed by 4.7 per cent. It seems that a week is a long time in politics, and council tax.
