SIR, - May I thank the good Samaritans who came to my help when I tripped in Beechwood Avenue, St Albans, on Tuesday March 11, and sustained injuries to my face and broke my right wrist. To Grahame who sat me up, the young man in the white van who phoned for an ambulance, the paramedic who was passing by and to the off-duty nurse who phoned my husband. I am immensely grateful to them all.
I would also like to say thank you to the ambulance crew and to the staff at the QEII Hospital - especially to the student nurse who got me plastered!
My sincere thanks to them all.
ANN McCRIMMON,
Oakwood Drive, St Albans.
