SIR - My name is Godfrey Kennell, and I spent the first 25 years of my life in St Albans until I immigrated to South Africa.
I am almost 86 years of age, and around this time of year get very nostalgic. Is there anyone left in my home-town who remembers the war years, and especially Miss Jolly's Dancing School?
I remember dancing at the Victoria Hall to Victor Silvestor on a wind up gramaphone. I was 14, in the bloom of youth and remember my first heart throb. Her name was Margaret Farmer... where are you now?
Happy days they were too. Thanks a ton. One day I'll come back, but only after you have the weather fixed up!
