SIR — On August 11, at around 12 noon, whilst walking my dog, I fell on the Harpenden Road, near the old ambulance station. I would like to thank the driver of the car, who slowed down and the three people who ran to my rescue and lifted me off the road.
SIR - On August 11, at around 12 noon, whilst walking my dog, I fell on the Harpenden Road, near the old ambulance station.
I would like to thank the driver of the car, who slowed down and the three people who ran to my rescue and lifted me off the road.
I am especially grateful to the lady, who was an off-duty policewoman. She rang for the paramedics and for a police car to take my dog home. Thank you to the paramedics, who were excellent. I was taken to Watford General Hospital. After being X-rayed, it was found that I had broken my hip. I am now at home and am recovering well.
