There is limited parking available. Please plan to arrive by train. Parking at St Albans Abbey Station will be restricted to allow buses to turn around. As it is a Bank Holiday, free parking will be available across the road from the station at Westminster Lodge. Free parking will also be available at Watford Junction as it is a Bank Holiday. At Bricket Wood there will be no parking at the station and we request that parking be limited to those with disabilities at St Stephen Parish Council.
Train service on the day will follow a Bank Holiday schedule, which is a Saturday schedule. We are fortunate that the Abbey Line is allowed to run on its 150th Anniversary date as the entire West Coast Mainline is being shut down due to engineering works.
Anyone who wishes to join the festivities can arrive at Watford Junction via London Overground or at St Albans via First Capital Connect. There will be regular free vintage buses from St Albans City Station to St Albans Abbey Station.
