SIR - Would someone at (presumably) Herts Highways explain why after some 20 years it was felt necessary to fit a series of speed restriction humps on the approach road from Watling Street, Radlett into the Newberries car park?
At a time when many roads, including this approach road, are breaking up following the harsh winter I would have thought that the minimal funds that Herts Highways have available could have been better spent on needed repairs.
I would also point out that I have never seen this approach road being used at excessive speeds and that these humps will now also make entry to the car park restrictive to any motorist driving a sports or low slung vehicle. It will also cause difficulties to many vehicles entering the service car park behind the shop premises.
