SIR - On Sunday, October 18, my husband and I took my son for a relaxing walk around the lakes at Verulamium, as we quite often do to spend some quality time together. On this Sunday we decided to stop off at the fenced-in play area behind the lakes.
There were plenty of children enjoying themselves with parents and siblings and three games of football were also going on directly behind the play area.
To our dismay, the children were treated to no end of expletives of the foulest kind from the players, who were demonstrating the loutish behaviour that does seem to be associated with the football fraternity.
Are we imagining it, or is Verulamium Park meant to be a family friendly area?
