SIR, - I read the information from St Albans District Council (Herts Advertiser, December 11) in your newspaper with some dismay. Why oh why do the new leisure facilities have to be located in Cotlandswick in London Colney?
I thought the plan was to rebuild the facilities in Verulamium Park which is much more accessible than London Colney. It does not make any sense at all.
The present pool is not quite to Olympic standard - however 25 metres is not a good size at all. I am very disappointed. I only hope that the residents of St Albans will fight this decision.
