It is spring and the perfect time to break the fashion boundaries and embrace some new exciting style ideas, so where better to start than the diverse fashion assortment found at Conmigo?

Conmigo was originally located in Central London but as of September last year has taken up residence in a pretty boutique on Holywell Hill. The team are currently acclimatising to their new locale and are keen to show the district what they have to offer.

The Conmigo store instantly attracts the attention of the passerby with its eye-catching display of gifts and accessories. However, investigate further and you’ll find an array of unique, colourful clothing hung on pretty pearl hangers.

The store provides an eclectic mix of fun, distinctive clothing by a number of different designers, including owner Ting Ting Hung.

Ting Ting studied fashion at St Martin’s College and is consequently no stranger to creating her own unique designs.

Her enthusiasm and passion for original fashion is clear and she is constantly researching new designers to add to the Conmigo collection.

The team at Conmigo are focussed on meeting the needs of their new St Albans customers and are adapting their range accordingly.

The collection is not seasonally based, as is typical in the fashion world, but instead provides year-round clothing, regularly refreshed by the inclusion of new designers.

Currently the stock includes clothing from approximately 25 per cent Asian designers and 75 per cent European designers, with the latest addition being from the Netherlands.

Ting Ting explains how she “tries to support UK companies by choosing British designers wherever possible”, which she feels is important in these difficult economic times.

The hybrid of designers offered means that sizing can vary considerably, for example clothing by French designers is typically cut smaller than the British equivalent.

However the team are on the lookout for clothing in larger sizes to ensure this variability is accounted for and that their range can appeal to everyone. As Ting Ting explained, Conmigo is simply for “people who enjoy unique dress”.

Conmigo is perfect for a celebratory outfit, with beautiful party dresses in a variety of prints and with embellishment such as lace and embroidery – key trends for spring-summer 2013.

There is also a range of knitwear which is ideal for layering over tops to tackle the awkward transitional period into spring.

Conmigo has a range of gifts, including containers in bright colourful prints from Wu and Wu designed by illustrator Fiona Hewitt and inspired by Asian culture.

In addition the store stocks accessories including classic handbags, charming sparkly costume jewellery and printed scarves – perfect for the less fashion-adventurous as they can instantly update a simpler outfit.

Ting Ting is happy to provide advice and inspiration to her customers, utilising her acquired knowledge of colour and how it can be used to flatter different skin tones.

Individuals can book an appointment with Ting Ting for more personal fashion advice or can reserve the boutique to explore the fashions with friends.

So whether you are hoping to try something different, stand out from the crowd or just explore, Conmigo has plenty of inspiration for 2013!

Conmigo is open from 9.30am until 6.30pm daily with extended opening hours in the summer. You can also shop online at www.conmigofashion.com
