SIR, - Is it not common sense to realise that by putting an ice rink on an already boggy and waterlogged piece of ground, that it will take some time to recover? Especially when said piece of ground has had may events placed there already, the last one being a circus, hence the horses had churned the ground up. If the same bit of land is continually used then it will suffer. But that whole meadow is still wet in April so I'm not sure blaming one particular event is necessary. The land has not been destroyed - don't be so dramatic. And I think some people should get some of their facts correct before making incorrect statements.
