SIR, - I am quite sure that what people seem to think were UFOs (Herts Advertiser, February 5) are actually sky lanterns.
It was my 18th birthday on Sunday, February 1. I live parallel to Batchwood Drive on Langley Crescent. After coming back from a family meal at around that time, we let some sky lanterns off into the sky to mark the occasion. The video on your site at www.hertsad24.co.uk looks similar to the one I have taken.
