SIR - Just to say the lady who had the makeover and had her picture in your paper (Herts Advertiser, January 7) was, if your before and after headings were correct, a typical example of someone having exceptional natural beauty and then trying to gild the lily when doing so was a waste of money.
If she had smiled in the second picture, I am still not sure she would have been any better than "before"!
