SIR, - Following H. Kane's letter headlined "Card sharps" (Herts Advertiser, February 12), my daughter in Scotland experienced a similar response from the Post Office when a Christmas present to her niece in London went missing. No-one seems to be responsible or accountable. The parcel also contained gift vouchers from my other daughter. They eventually arrived safely.
Another birthday present from my daughter to her nephew in St Albans also went missing at the beginning of December, never to be seen again. Something is far wrong but the Post Office takes absolutely no responsibility.
