SIR - It was exhilirating to read in your article (Herts Advertiser, October 22) of all St Albans council's officers, lawyers and councillors working together in unison to bring about the declared wishes of the council's planning committee not to allow the construction of the rail freight terminal.
I truly hope that the council will work in the same concerted way to implement the declared wishes of the council's planning committee expressed on September 21, not to allow further building on King Harry Lane playing fields when the developers' appeal is lodged, as it inevitably will be.
