SIR - Through the columns of your paper I would like to say a big thank you for the kindness of two lovely gentlemen who separately stopped to help my daughter and I who had run out of petrol and broken down in a very dangerous position in the middle of the busy London Colney roundabout on February 25 at around 8.30pm.
The first gentleman who stopped risked his own safety and pushed us to a safer place at the side of the roundabout. The second gentleman who stopped also put himself in danger by stopping on the busy roundabout to ask if we were OK. Luckily at that point my other daughters turned up with a can of petrol and we were soon safely on our way. Thank you both for your thoughtfulness and kindness, when so many others just drove past.
