SIR, - In response to St Albans District Council's request for pictures of "grot spots" (Herts Advertiser, January 19), I enclose the above picture which follows on from my earlier letter last November at the launch of the cleaner St Albans campaign. The above photo was taken at Sainsbury's in Griffiths Way, St Albans, at around 3pm last Friday. Although most of the recyling bins had been recently emptied, no attempt had been made to tidy up the site. If the council wants residents to continue recycling their bottles and cardboard at this site, it's important that they do their bit by ensuring this facility is kept tidy and free of broken glass.
