SIR - Peter Poole (Letters, November 26) suggests that Geoff Ackroyd might have a road named after him were the housing development along the Luton Road to be approved. Given that Geoff was a master baker by profession, I suggest a street be named Ackroyd Rise, and actioned even if the development didn't take place in recognition of his enormous contribution to the trading, community and social health of the town.
