SIR, - With regard to Wendy Sharp's letter (Herts Advertiser, July 17), I would like to thank her for enlightening me on the recycling facility for plastic pots and bags at the Dark Lane depot in Harpenden.

I'm pleased to say that I have found two local recycling points for Tetra Paks - one at the Leisure Centre, Leyton Road, and the other at Waitrose in King Harry Lane, St Albans. Unfortunately, as there are not many of these around yet, they are often full to overflowing, but it's a start. Happy recycling.

JANE BOOTH,

Harpenden Lane, Redbourn.
