SIR - I and many other people who were on the parade on Sunday were disgusted at the decision of the St Albans city council's decision to have a market on the same day as we were remembering the fallen not only in the Second World War but those that are fighting and dying for this country at this moment in time.

Is this the way the Liberal Mayor and councilors respect our armed forces and the fallen?
