SIR, - One aspect about the closure of local post offices has not been mentioned. Once again it hits the old, especially those in care homes.

We rely on mail-order shopping because of the guarantee that goods can always be returned - but how? We cannot ask friends or carers to join the massive queues at the main post offices. Only those with cars can get to a small post office that is still open.
