SIR, - There have been several letters from readers concerned about the smell from meat and fish waste when the fortnightly collection of non-recyclable waste commences in September. For some time I have put such smelly items in a plastic bowl in the freezer - no need for wrapping - then tipped it into the black bin-liner as near in time as possible to when it is to be collected so that even the foxes cannot detect it.
