An annual festival in memory of a former student who died on a skiing holiday is being held at Beaumont School in St Albans this Saturday.

Rob’s Festival is a music, dance and sports event to commemorate entrepreneur Rob Williams who died in 2009 and it raises funds for the Prince’s Trust.

The festival gets underway between 12.30pm and 2.30pm with sports activities with the main music and dance acts running from 2pm until 8pm.

Among the confirmed acts are acoustic duo Franklin, London indie rock band Atlantic Shore, four-piece punk/rock band Obsession, pop/punk band Blind Tides and Beaumont-bred band Blue Tongued Skins.

Tickets at £5 for adults, £3 in advance or £4 on the day for Beaumont pupils and £4 for non-Beaumont students can be obtained by emailing robsfestival@live.com
