Something for the youngsters in the Meraki Festival’s Family Field

The line-up for the Family Field at the Meraki Festival has now been revealed.
The family field features a Craft Tent, Performance Tent, and Family Campers Activities. The festival will also welcome the Flying Seagull Project to perform on the Gypsy Wagon Stage.
The Flying Seagull team will entertain the family with a series of activities and workshops over the course of the three days. The days begin with a Seagull Stretch n’ Shine (10am), Perilous Parachute (10.30am) Nonsensical Circus Show (11.15am), Big Toy Shop (12noon) and a Kids Comedy Corner (1pm).
The excitement doesn’t end there. The afternoons are filled with a Circus Freestyle (1.45pm and 1.15pm on Sunday), Magical Madness (2.45pm on Friday and 2.30pm on Saturday), and Big and Bonkers Balloons (Friday at 3.30pm).
The Flying Seagull team end each day with an exciting finale. On Friday they finish off with Gran Bongo’s Mega Mix Dance Off (4pm). On Saturday they continue to amuse with The Wild Cactus Hoedown (4.15pm), and on Sunday end with The Wig and Bowtie Parade of Fools (4pm) and a Pirate Takeover (2pm).
In the craft tent, a variety of exciting activities will be available over the long weekend. Anyone can take part in making Carnival Masks (12.30pm), Rainbow Blowers (11.15pm), Lollipop Stick Puppets (3.30pm) and Harmonicas (4.45pm), Paper Plate Jellyfish (10am), Lanterns (1.45pm) and there’s even a Creation Station Play Doh Crafts (2.30pm).
Over in the performance tents on Friday, Living The Dream is offering workshops in Street Dance (11am) and Musical Theatre (12pm), while Wish Upon A Party is hosting Interactive Games (Friday 3pm and Saturday 1pm and 3.30pm) and Walkabout Characters (Friday 4pm and Saturday 12pm and 2pm).
On Saturday and Sunday there will also be Gymboree Play and Learn (10am), Art Classes (11am) and Music Classes (12pm) on offer. Other activities include With Love From A Princess Interactive Games (Saturday 3.30pm and 1pm Sunday), Walkabout Characters (Saturday 12noon/2pm and Sunday 2pm), Hartbeeps Baby Beeps (Saturday 2pm and Sunday 3.15pm) and Hartbeeps Happy House (Saturday 4pm and Sunday 4.30pm).
There are also more relaxing Family Camper Activities taking place over the three days, including Family Yoga Sessions (7am), Sha Sha Yoga (Saturday and Sunday 8am), Toddler Sense (Friday 7pm, Saturday and Sunday 9am/7pm), Baby Sensory (Saturday and Sunday 8am and 6pm) and all finish with a Campfire with Usborne Books Storytelling (8pm).
Over the course of Meraki, Diddy Rascals are putting on daily Kids’ Raves and there will be face-painting and glitter tattoos available daily between 8am-3pm.
Meraki also provides practical areas for the family. While the fun continues, baby changing facilities and a Nap Zone are open from 10am-6pm.
