Pop legend Nik Kershaw will be performing on Friday, August 10 at Herts County Showground, Redbourn.

One of the biggest stars of any decade, Nik is behind some of British music’s most iconic songs, including The Riddle, Wide Boy, Wouldn’t It Be Good, Don Quixote and I Won’t Let The Sun Go Down On Me.

He appeared at Live Aid in 1985 and later penned the Chesney Hawkes smash hit The One and Only.

Then on the Sunday night will be a chance to see the legendary 10CC, responsible for classics including I’m Not In Love, The Wall Street Shuffle, I’m Mandy Fly Me, and Dreadlock Holiday.

This year’s festival also features a host of world class DJs including Danny Rampling, Judge Jules, Seb Fontaine, Freemasons and Tall Paul, who will be mixing it up in the House of Neon Dance Tent across the weekend.

Organiser Kerry Marks said: “Friday night is nostalgia night at Meraki and we still have two more headline acts to announce, including the headliner!

“Whether you are set to hit the dance tent Friday and party the evening away to Danny Rampling and Judge Jules or visit the main stage to listen to some incredible live music, Friday at Meraki is hotting up!”

Meraki has also announced activities for the Kids Field, which includes the Creation Station, Science Boffins, Wish Upon A Party, Gymboree Play & Music and Karma Kids.

The Flying Seagull Project, a troupe of clowns, magicians, circus performers and musicians, will put on various performances throughout the festival.

Weekend, day or evening tickets are available for the festival, which runs from Friday August 10 through to Sunday August 12.
