St Albans BID and Collective Gallery is set to create a community mural in the heart of St Albans on the wall of Bar Meze Restaurant.
The mural - which will be placed on Drovers Way - is based on the theme of connection and will feature the well known and loved landmarks of the city.
The aim of this public art project is to foster a sense of community and depict the rich diversity of those who live and work in St Albans.

Collective Gallery is an artist-run gallery based on Holywell Hill. Over the last few years, the gallery has supported artists based around the community by providing a space for them to show their work to the public and run art workshops for the community.
Bar Meze and Collective partnered to produce a series of murals on their premise's wall.
The first mural was painted by local artist, Ant Steel. This years’ mural will be painted by local artist Claire Spake.
Also taking place from today (April 28) is an exhibition in partnership with Herts Young Homeless.
This exhibition features the work of 23 local artists as well as a competition for artists in school years 10-13. The exhibition takes place at Collective Gallery Holywell Hill until Sunday, April 30.
Aisha Adi of The Collective Art Gallery said: "I am very excited to be continuing this public art project for its second year. It’s going to be great to work with this year's mural artist Claire Spake.

St Albans BID’s Marilyn Bell, director member of the business and community sub-committee, said: "We are delighted to work with the Aisha of The Collective Art Gallery, one of our levy papers based in Holywell Hill.
"The mural will celebrate our fantastic community, attract attention, and give our visitors a warm welcome."
The mural will be created from today (April 28), ongoing through the weekend.
