A return visit from Solid Silver Sixties marks a busy week at the Alban Arena.

The show, which is celebrating 29 years, can be seen at 7.30pm next Wednesday, May 14, and features Brian Poole and The Tremeloes, Chris Farlowe, Chris Montez and Vanity Fare.

It starts at 7.30pm and features such hits as Hitchin’ A Ride, The More I See You, Just Don’t Know What To Do With Myself, What Becomes of the Broken Hearted and more.

Grumpy Old Women also make a return to the Arena next Friday, May 16.

Award winning comedian, writer and original star of Grumpy Old Women, Jenny Eclair, will be joined by fellow recruits Susie Blake and actress and singer Kate Robbins in the show that starts at 8pm.

Among the issues which will come under the spotlight are learning the art of grumpy grooming, the joy of large pants, a free nagging master class, beards for women, the rules for middle-aged drinking and how to customise unwanted pole-dancing kits.

Tickets are £20.

An Evening of Burlesque comes to the Arena next Saturday, May 17, direct from London’s West End.

The show has played all Britain’s top venues and helped establish burlesque as a mainstream art form in the UK.

For over-18s only, it starts at 8pm and tickets are £22 with concessions £2 off.

Brian Conley will bring his new live show to the Arena next Sunday, May 18.

Entitled The Real Life of Brian, the touring show is described by the man himself as a ‘potpourri of entertainment’.

Brian has a huge list of TV and stage appearances to his name and comes on stage at 8pm. Tickets are £22.50.
